  • They feel comfortable approaching you.
  • They feel relaxed when speaking to you.
  • They feel they have a personal connection with you.

One way is to personally great each shopper as they enter your garage sale with something like “Hi, I’m Matilda. Please feel free to have a browse and let me know if you have any questions”.

This can be difficult though when your garage sale gets busy and you may also not feel comfortable doing this yourself.

Wearing a name badge like this would be the next best thing.

A couple of those items looked interesting but you’re still not convinced yet to stop.

How abut this final sign right on the corner that will surely make you think “Hey, why not have a quick look?”…
